As part of the United Kingdon (UK), England sits on the western edge of Europe. Often considered to be a nation of shopkeepers, this green and pleasent land has bags of history to delight any visitor. |

Although it may feel like it at times, it does not rain everyday in the UK. However it is advisable to bring waterproof clothing and be ready for rain at any time of the year. Britain is an island nation and the surrounding sea gives England a varied climate which can be sunny one day and rainy the next. Compared to the rest of Europe we have warm summers and cool winters compared to the continent, sometimes refered to as a temperate maritime climate with temperatures not much lower than 0ºC in winter and not much higher than 32ºC in summer. Whether can be damp and rainy all year round, although most of the rain falls during the autumn, winter and spring. July and August are normally the warmest month in England, with the coldest months being December to February. |

May to October Generally the best months to travel to the UK are May through to October when the climate is warmest and rainfall is at a minimum, usually July and August are the warmest months, but can also see some rainfall. Generally the sunniest area is the south coast of England. |

Diving in the UK is not for everyone due to the low underwater visibility, strong currents and cold water temperatures. Having said this there are numerous and often exceptional wreck dives and great marine life which attract a hard core following of highly competant UK based divers led by the British Sub Aqua Club (BSAC). We would recommend at least a 7mm wetsuit for UK diving with hood and thick gloves or a dry suit. |

A great cultural and historic country, although not a great standalone diving holiday unless you are a massive wreck buff!! |
