Little Cayman is one of the sister islands to Grand Cayman (the main island) and Cayman Brac. With only a few hundred people who live on this island, this puts Little Cayman as the least populated of the three with; Cayman Brac having 1,800 residents and Grand Cayman with many more than that!

The island is beautifully unspoilt and small with the developed world yet to take a firm hold here. The tourist traffic here is still low, as the only way to get to the island is by twin prop plane and hence you wont feel overcrowded in this under-developed part of the Caribbean. The diving here is world class, so we say take the opportunity to vistit the island before mass tourism arrives!

January and February are the coolest months on the island with high's of 82°F (27°C) and night time lows of 65°F (17°C). Summer temperatures peak in July and August with daytime highs of 92°F (32°C) and night time low's of 82°F (27°C). High humidity in the summer months can often make the days and nights feel hotter. Typically the rainest time of year is from May to November, with the most rain coming at the start and end of this period.

December to April

Generally the weather on the island is good all year, with the trade winds ensuring it doesn't feel too hot. The peak season runs between December and April.

Jacques Cousteau apparently said that Little Cayman was one of the best three places in the world to dive. I cannot obviously back this statement up, but in our opinion it definitely is!!  With great reefs, shipwrecks and Bloody Bay Marine Park which is known as one of the best wall dives in the world

26°C to 28°C (78°F to 81°F)

Small passenger planes (twin engine turbo prop) are how you currently get to the island, however a larger airport is being constructed to accommodate jet planes, which will lead to more mass tourism on the island.
