The continent of North America can be characterised broadly into two camps, the English speaking countries of America and Canada who share similar customs, and the Spanish speaking countries laying further south of Mexico.

Generally the summer months are best, although some of the more southerly countries make good winter vacation (Nov – Apr) destinations.

The diving can be quite cold in the north although you can see pretty large sea creatures. Further south the sea turns into the Caribbean which makes for some truly amazing diving.

Flights  from most locations can be purchased at a reasonable price.
