The continent of Africa has a diverse range of diving to offer all abilities, bordered by the Indian Ocean to the east and the Atlantic Ocean to the west, the Mediterranean to the north and the beautiful Red Sea to the North East. A myriad of cold to warm water dives can be experienced with something to interest and captivate all types.

Africa is a truly beautiful continent with the northern half primarily desert or arid, while its central and southern areas contain both savannah plains and very dense jungle (rainforest) regions.

The climate of Africa varies depending on where you are, on the whole the majority of locations that you are likely to diving are tropical. Temperatures can reach 40°C (105°F) in the summer and dip as low as 10°C (50°F) in winter dependent on where you travel to.

Africa is a perfect destination for some winter sun in the northern hemisphere and has good diving conditions all year round. The low season for diving tourism is generally during the height of the summer (June to August) due to the very hot day time temperatures.

A trip to Africa can combine a diving holiday (whether it is diving in Zanzibar, Egypt, or with Sharks off the coast of South Africa) with a safari or many other activities on this amazing continent.
