Mexico is a wonderful destination with a mix of palm fringed resorts to the ancient ruins of the Mayan empire. Tourism here is well established but you can easily get off the beaten trail to find something a little more bespoke if you so desire.

From Mexico City restaurants and culture to Cozumels quiet palm fringed beaches and Cancun's parties and mass tourism, there is something for everyone here.

Mexico has a relatively stable and mild climate with average temperatures year round of 16.0°C (61°F). With temperatures during the winter dropping to an average 5°C (41°F) during the winter (December to January) and reaching an average 27°C (81°F) during the summer. Having said this, Mexico is a large country and its weather can vary greatly from one destination to another and is determined by altitude as well as latitude giving rise to extremes of snow capped mountains to deserts and tropical forests.

Mexico has two main seasons; the rainy and dry seasons. The rainy season through most of Mexico falls roughly from May to October. During the rest of the year there is little or no rain. Please be aware that in Mexico hurricane season runs from June to November so it is worth checking the weather forecasts before booking a holiday during this time of year.

December to April

This generally the best time to visit during the dry season and you will ensure that a Hurricane will not ruin your holiday
