Jamaica is one of the larger islands in the Caribbean, with plenty of beaches and sunshine much like most of its neighbours. The culture of this island is somewhat different compared to the rest of the Caribbean and is more akin to Africa. High crime levels are still an issue on the island and in particular violent crime. Visitors to the island will find a wealth of beautiful beaches and cultural and historical sites to keep them interested. |

A good destination all year round due to its relatively stable temperatures and humidity with temperatures being between 22°C (72°F) and 31°C (88°F) with the cooler temperatures present in the mornings and evenings during winter. Generally May to June and October to November are the rainiest times of the year with tropical storms and hurricanes occasionally occurring between June and November. |

Diving on Jamaica is not the best that we have come across in the Caribbean due to over fishing and other human activities and the reefs can be a little bare. Having said this, if you are on the island for a more all-round vacation you may want consider doing a few choice dives.
