Iceland is a truly breath taking country with amazing Geothermal activity across the country giving rise to geysers, thermal baths, ancient lava flows. The country has an outstanding natural beauty with black sand beaches, waterfalls and picturesque villages. During the winter the Northen Lights can be seen across the country which makes for a truly magical experience! |

The climate of Iceland is quite cold, but not as bad as you might think given its name. During the summer Reykjavík can be 41°F (5°C) at night to highs of 77°F (25°C) during the day. During January the average temperature is 31°F (-0.5°C). |

This very much depends on what you want to do, during the winter you can see the Northern Lights, however daylight hours are short and the winters tend to be around freezing. During the summer the days are longer and the beautiful countryside is a joy to experience at this time of year. |

Diving in Iceland is truly spectacular, with sights such as Silfra (which is less than an hour from Reykjavík) provides some of the best visibilities in the world. This dive site is in a stream that runs through a gorge which separates the European and North American tectonic plates, the water is glacial (hence only a couple of degrees above zero) and takes approximately seven years to filter through the lava field making it exceptionally pure. Sea diving is also an experience in itself with geothermal vents and other interesting sites setting Iceland apart from elsewhere in the world. |
