Perth enjoys a Mediterranean climate with plenty of sunshine and very little rainfall during the summer and the majority coming during the winter. During the summer months (Dec to Jan) temperatures range between 18°C - 30°C with temperatures dropping in winter (Jun to Jul) to  9°C - 17°C.

September to December

Generally most people visit Perth between September and November during the spring and from March to May during the autumn. Generally the water visibility is best from September to December, hence we would recommend a spring holiday here.

The dives around Rottnest Island are mainly limestone reefs which give rise to lots of caverns and swimthroughs. The reefs contain plenty of soft and hard corals and plenty of marine life including; Nudibranchs, Stingrays, Manta Rays and many reef fish. Dive Charters to the Island offer competative packages including a 2 tank dive, and meals and refreshments.
